Workshop #1: Lessons Learned, Real Results: A Human + Generative AI Approach to Business Improvement
(9:00-12:20)

by Moria Levy

This workshop focuses on a common challenge: despite investing time in debriefs and lessons learned, real change rarely follows. The first part of the workshop addresses this gap by introducing an improved lessons learned methodology. A second layer demonstrates how AI can strengthen this process across all its components. Together, the human and AI approaches enable lessons learned to move from reflection to real business impact.

Masterclass #1 : The importance of managing knowledge in projects and supporting innovations
(9:00-12:20)

by Eric Tsui & Grace Najjar

Modern projects struggle not only with complexity but also with hidden knowledge gaps that slow delivery and weaken innovation. This interactive 3‑hour masterclass equips project and innovation professionals with practical, actionable approaches to strengthen project performance through effective Knowledge Management (KM) and emerging AI capabilities. Attendees will appreciate the power of activating insights for smarter project planning, execution and learning.

Participants will examine the key causes of poor project performance and the common pain points in project management, then explore targeted KM tools and practices that reduce rework, improve decision‑making, and enhance knowledge flow across teams. We will demonstrate how purposeful KM can reinforce each stage of the project lifecycle and create the foundations for sustained innovation. Knowledge losses and implications will be critically assessed; remedial measures are outlined.

The session also introduces Generative AI as a powerful knowledge enabler, showcasing how it can automate capture, accelerate retrieval, support personal learning, and amplify organisational intelligence. Real‑world case studies highlight how leading organisations have leveraged KM to elevate both project outcomes and innovation.

Workshop #2: Capturing What Matters Most: Ensuring Knowledge Continuity in Times of Transition
(9:00-12:20)

by Refiloe Mabaso & Kagiso Mabe

As organisations across sectors face accelerating workforce transitions driven by retirement, digital transformation, and skills scarcity, the risk of losing critical tacit knowledge has never been greater. This interactive workshop draws on a long-standing legacy of knowledge capture programs to explore practical, human-centred approaches to safeguarding organisational memory in high-risk, knowledge-intensive environments.

Participants will examine how tacit expertise can be systematically identified, captured, and transferred before it exits the organisation, while preserving context, judgment, and experiential insight that cannot be fully codified. The session will move beyond documentation to focus on sustainable knowledge capture practices embedded in everyday work, leadership commitment, and organisational culture.

Through case examples, facilitated discussion, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain practical tools and frameworks for designing or strengthening their own legacy knowledge capture initiatives. The workshop will also reflect on the enabling role of digital tools and AI in supporting rather than replacing human knowledge, and how captured knowledge can be transformed into lasting organisational capability.

By the conclusion of this session, participants will possess: Practical methods for capturing tacit and critical knowledgeInsights into designing sustainable legacy knowledge capture programmes Lessons learned from implementing knowledge capture from the transitioning workforce Actionable ideas to adapt to their own organisational context.

Workshop #3: Resilience in Practice: Collaborative Pathways for Innovation, Impact, and Transformation
(13:40-17:00)

by Sophie Altrock & Kateryna Kryzhanivska

Join us for two interactive workshop sessions exploring how resilience is designed, practiced, and scaled through collaboration across disciplines, sectors, and innovation ecosystems. Bringing together perspectives from healthcare, climate, and security research, the workshop offers practical tools and real-world insights for researchers and innovators on how to translate resilience into impact.

PART 1 — Resilience in HealthcareHow can technology help create resilient healthcare systems and wellbeing in Industry 5.0? Bringing together participants from industry and academia, we will discuss enabling factors and strategies that combine human-centred approaches with advanced technologies, exchange ideas on the role of AI and automation for future-proof healthcare systems.

PART 2 – Resilient Research & Innovation for Climate ActionBuilding resilience in times of emerging climate threats goes beyond organizational and geographical boundaries. Using the Bridge-Building Canvas, participants will engage with activities designed to translate scientific knowledge into policy and industry impact —demonstrating how resilience can be designed and scaled from local to global context.

Masterclass #2: Is knowledge hiding really bad?
(13:40-17:00)

by Susanne Durst & Talshyn Tokyzhanova

Knowledge hiding is often portrayed as destructive organizational behavior, but is this view truly accurate? Rather than providing definitive answers, this masterclass identifies the positive and negative aspects of knowledge hiding, thereby fostering neutral thinking about knowledge and its dynamics and enabling participants to develop a broader and more nuanced understanding of this phenomenon in the workplace.

We will introduce various motivations and contexts that promote knowledge hiding in organizations. Through examples and discussions, participants are invited to explore different perspectives on when knowledge hiding poses challenges for organizations and their sustainable development, when it serves legitimate organizational or personal purposes, and when it may point to deeper problems within the organization in question.

Join us on an exciting journey of discovery that goes beyond typical black-and-white thinking and thus better incorporates the different realities of organizational behavior.

Workshop #4: ISO 30401 Decoded: Learn from Real Cases, Assess Your Readiness
(13:40-17:00)

by Ploynitcha Jaruhirunsakul

Join us for an insightful session where we share real-world experiences and proven strategies for driving organizational excellence through Knowledge Management (KM), leading to ISO 30401 certification.

This interactive workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn from actual implementation cases, exploring the journey from initial KM initiatives to achieving certified ISO 30401 compliance. Discover practical approaches, key success factors, and lessons learned from organizations that have successfully integrated systematic knowledge management into their operations.

As part of the workshop, participants will engage in a preliminary readiness assessment exercise. This self-evaluation tool will help you gauge your organization's current maturity level and identify areas for improvement in establishing a systematic knowledge management framework.

Whether you're beginning your KM journey or looking to formalize your existing practices, this session will provide valuable insights and a clear understanding of where your organization stands in relation to ISO 30401 standards.

Day #2 Thursday March 19 - Morning Session

FIRE CAMP CONVERSATIONS
(11:00-12:00)

An open, interactive exchange of insights between KIMPACT Forum experts and participants

Day #2 Thursday March 19 - Afternoon Session
Knowledge Café with Global MIKE Award Winners
(14:05-15:30)
Workshop #1: Leveraging the MIKE Framework for  Organization Culture Transformation
(14:05-15:30)
facilitated by Madan Rao, Olga Smirnova, Rajesh Dhillon, and Vadim Shiryaev
by Rudolf D'Souza
A dynamic and engaging session where participants can interact with MIKE Award winners in an informal café-style environment. Through candid conversations and shared experiences, winners offer valuable insights from their journeys in knowledge and innovation, fostering peer learning and providing actionable insights for attendees.
The MIKE framework is designed around the three dimensions of Human, Structural and Relational Capital. The quantification of impact and identifying pivotal factors in each dimension is an overlooked aspect of the Framework. Once identified, key interventions that nudge the organization culture in the desired direction, can be crafted. This will also enhance the value of KM in the eyes of the management!

Creativi-Tea session: Ecosystem approaches to
knowledge co-creation
(15:45-17:00)
Workshop #2:  Knowledge Ambassadors as Force Multipliers – designing a power program!
(15:45-17:00)
facilitated by Madan Rao, Olga Smirnova, Rajesh Dhillon, and Vadim Shiryaev
by Rudolf D'Souza
This session takes KM beyond organisational boundaries to the broader business and social ecosystem knowledge. Innovative methods like GLINK and MXR can combine to effectively facilitate knowledge sharing, exploration, conversations, and co-creation.
GLINK (Global Leaders who Innovate Next Knowledge) is a dynamic platform that has evolved over 10 years to unite global trailblazers in shaping the future of knowledge and innovation. Its central ethos is an inspiring spirit of collaboration that transcends geographical borders. It combines provocation, immersion, curation, and networking.
MXR.world (‘mixers across the world’) is an innovation platform to showcase and scale innovations. Its approach is rooted in storytelling by innovators and catalytic conversations with stakeholders from the broader ecosystems. It thrives on creative collisions, a blend of formal and informal activities, and alignment towards long-term goals.
This session will show the above two frameworks have already been implemented in an exciting new global health initiative, Global MITO (mitochondrial products to boost health). Multiple conferences and community-building activities have already been in progress for the past two years, with an international community of innovators and business development experts. There are exciting new roles for collaboration for KM professionals from KMGN and other communities.
A cursory glance of some of the outstanding MIKE Awardees reveals the power of Knowledge Ambassadors. What are the factors to consider, and what elements go into the design of an effective Knowledge Ambassador program? This workshop will provide proven techniques to embark on a Knowledge Ambassador Program or inject new life into an existing program.

A relaxed yet focused co-creation experience where participants come together to creatively explore SDG challenges and jointly design knowledge- and innovation-based solutions. Blending thoughtful conversation with creative methods, the session turns collective intelligence into practical ideas for positive change.
